To understand the geometry of the magma chamber beneath the Tatun volcanic area. From 2017 to 2020, the National Science and Technology Council in Taiwan conducted a new project. The Institute of Earth Sciences of the Academia Sinica and the Tatun Volcano Observation at Tatun cooperated to deploy a new high dense seismic network. A total of 140 seismic stations was setup in the northern Taiwan region and equipped with broadband seismometers for transmitting real-time data to the data center. The distance between the stations is about 5 kilometers away, providing researchers with high-density and high-resolution seismic data.
